EX~TREMIS is a reference system on fleet and transport activity data, specific energy consumption, emission factors and total emissions for non-road transport modes (maritime, rail, and aviation) in the 27 EU Member States. It covers the years 1980-2005 with projections for their development up to 2030.  It is developed and managed by Trasporti e Territorio,  partner in the Green Logistics Consulting Group, on behalf of the EU Commission.

Railenergy has developed a toolkit for railway professionals dealing with energy efficiency – whether from a technical, operational, economic or strategic point of view.

GREET Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy use in Transportation.  Tool to evaluate energy and emission impacts of advanced vehicle technologies and new transportation fuels. It allows to evaluate various vehicle and fuel combinations on a full fuel-cycle/vehicle-cycle basis. Argonne - U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).

TREMOVE is a policy assessment model, designed to study the effects of different transport and environment policies on the emissions of the transport sector. The model estimates for policies as road pricing, public transport pricing, emission standards, subsidies for cleaner cars etc., the transport demand, modal shifts, vehicle stock renewal and scrappage decisions as well as the emissions of air pollutants and the welfare level.

TREMOVE models both passenger and freight transport, and covers the period 1995-2030.

EMMOSS Emission model for inland shipping, maritime transport and rail. The emission model Flanders determines emissions caused by railway, inland waterway and seagoing vessels, for transport of people as well as goods on Flemish territory. For seagoing vessels this concerns not only emissions at sea but also in harbor emissions caused by ships maneuvering or at berth, as for Flanders this is a substantial part with important harbors like Gent, Antwerp and Zeebrugge.

GHGenius focuses on the life cycle assessment (LCA) of current and future fuels for transportation applications. It considers a few circumstances where the fuels could be used in stationary applications rather than for transportation.

GHGenius can predict emissions for past, present and future years through to 2050 using historical data or correlations for changes in energy and process parameters with time that are stored in the model.

OFFROAD The off-road emissions inventory is an estimate of the population, activity, and emissions estimate of the varied types of off-road equipment. The major categories of engines and vehicles include agricultural, construction, lawn and garden and offroad recreation, and includes equipment from hedge trimmers to cranes. The OFFROAD Model estimates the relative contribution of gasoline, diesel, compressed natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas powered vehicles to the overall emissions inventory of the state. EcoTransIT is a tool to compare the emissions and energy consumption of different transport modes for freight traffic. National variables are also taken into account in the calculations, such as the power generation system.

The International Vehicle Emissions (IVE) Model is a computer model designed to estimate emissions from motor vehicles. The model is intended to help cities and regions develop emissions estimates  of local air pollutants (criteria pollutants), greenhouse gas emissions, and toxic pollutants.
