This interactive training course provides a comprehensive overview of the basics of transport and logistics emissions monitoring, accounting and reporting by companies and public organisations such as local authorities. This course will enable you to understand all major aspects of transport and logistics greenhouse gases and other pollutants, monitoring and reporting of transport emissions and will help you to develop and implement strategies and measures to improve the environmental performance of your transport and logistics operations and supply chains.

Magnus Swahn is one of the
world’s leading experts in the field of sustainable logistics, methodologies for
the calculation of Greenhouse Gas and other emissions from transport and logistics
sources and product flows. Before starting his own consultancy, he was Environment
Director of Green Cargo, and, prior to that, he worked for the SJ Cargo Group and
ASG as manager for Group Staff Environment. He is co-
Erik van Agtmaal is managing partner of Altimedes Consulting and founded the Green
Logistics Consultants Group in 2007. Prior to Altimedes Consulting he spent over
20 years in a variety of senior management positions in the logistics services industry
working for Christian Salvesen plc and Hays plc. He has managed a variety of supply
chain integration and consolidation projects in Europe and is an expert in sustainable
logistics strategies, sustainable procurement, emissions inventories and carbon footprint
calculations of supply chains. Together with the Dutch Research Institute CE Delft
and the Dutch Shippers’ Council EVO he developed emissions monitoring and reporting
guidelines and a transport emission calculation tool for the Dutch transport sector
and shippers, funded by the Dutch ministry of transport via the innovation platform
Sustainable Logistics.
